Wise, resourceful, and imaginative, Ravens are ready to step into adventure and leadership. They'll learn through observation, storytelling, and hands-on engagement with the natural world, as they deepen their understanding of community, interconnection, and their place within the web of life.

Our summer days are spent playing nature awareness games, nature study of key species, wildcrafting, exploring art in nature, hiking, tracking, and engaging with the growing and harvesting happening in the food forest. Each day brings new adventures as we visit different parts of the farm and surrounding land, building our naturalist skills and deepening our connection to the ecosystems around us. And, of course, we’ll leave plenty of time to simply be—resting, wondering, and experiencing nature in all her summer beauty.

"Before attending Merrowhawke [our son] had a lot of anxiety. Through his years at Merrowhawke he has developed a strong connection with himself & nature. Our family is forever grateful!

Whatever [my daughter] was doing while at Merrohawke improved her sense of wellbeing and she wasn’t as negative at pick up/drop off the rest of the week. She loves this program and it has helped develop a love of nature and push her out of her comfort zone. W e are so grateful that she has been a part of it for so many years.

"Compared to other programs we've done that do a parade of loosely nature-themed activities, this was an authentic nature experience that was designed to intentionally challenge and engage the kids in team-building ways but also in ways that fostered personal growth and individual exploration. The kids were trusted, seen as individuals, and offered real choices and challenges throughout their day."

My kids couldn’t wait to come home and tell me about poison ivy and ticks. They found it fascinating! - Summer 2025 Parent

Merrohawke has been a happy place for my son every year! The activities are age-appropriate, and I’m glad he gets to spend quality summer time in nature! - Summer 2025 Parent
